FAQ: An Interview with Jill

How did you get to be an Executive Career Coach to working mothers?

I spent the majority of my career in recruitment and selection.  During that time, I partnered with top executives to build leadership teams and create effective employee development plans.  I have also implemented successful internal career development programs that encouraged professional growth.  I know what it takes to get ahead.

In addition to a career in HR, I was a working mother myself and I experienced the unique challenges a woman in this position has to contend with each day.  There was a lot of talk about “balance” but no one had any strategies for working moms to reduce their stress and get ahead at work without sacrificing their families.  I was able to figure out a system that incorporated both aspects so that working mothers can have it all – a thriving career and a rewarding family life.

In addition to my professional experience, I obtained my certification in Executive Career Coaching from the Career Coach Institute – an International Coach Federation accredited program.

Who are your clients?

My clients are working mothers who understand that success at work is good for them and their families.  They are ambitious and intelligent and most importantly, they have a strong desire to reach their potential so they can afford to give their family everything they need.

How are you different from other coaches?

I specialize in the advancement of working mothers, nothing else.  Because of this, my clients receive proven, step-by-step coaching to simplify their lives and advance their careers.  As a result, my clients experience the success they are capable of achieving – with less stress and guilt.

What type of personality do you work best with?

The clients who will see the greatest results are ambitious, determined to succeed, open to new ideas, and committed to investing the time and energy required to reach their goals.

What results can I expect?

By doing the assignments and spending our coaching time constructively, you will define personal and professional goals that are aligned with the needs of your family and establish a plan to achieve them.  Your confidence will increase as your guilt melts away and you will find that you are a role model to your children.  An independent woman and mother who can be successful at both instead of an overworked, stressed out mom who tries to do everything – even though she doesn’t have the time or ability.

Will I recoup the investment I put into coaching?

Coaching can help you reach your career goals up to 46% faster than you would on your own.  Let’s say that your goal is to get promoted at work.  According to a survey conducted by WorldatWork.com, the average promotion increase is 11.4%.  Using this statistic, an exempt employee earning $75K would get a promotional increase of $8550.  If coaching helped that person get promoted one year sooner, the additional income would be more than twice the cost of coaching.

I can’t put a price tag on eliminating your guilt, reducing your stress or spending more time with your family.  Only you can determine how much it’s worth to you.

How will we work together?

Most clients find that private coaching sessions conducted by phone are more effective and fit into their schedule better.  Assignments and forms are completed and sent via email.  For clients who prefer in-person sessions and live in the Tampa area, sessions can be conducted at your office.  Fees will be adjusted accordingly.

How long is the program?

Private coaching programs are a minimum of six months.  Clients who work with a coach consistently over an extended period of time see greater results than clients who are coached on an as needed basis.  If you aren’t able to invest the time or money in a six month program but you still want to receive the benefits of coaching, check out the Private Client group or the Working Mother's Power Circle.  Both programs focus on achieving the same results.

I know which program I want.  How do I get started?

You can register online for the program you want or call me to schedule a consultation if you are interested in private coaching so we can talk about your goals and determine if I am the best person to help you achieve them.  If all goes well, we’ll get you registered and schedule our first appointment.

I’m ready to do this, but I still have a couple of questions.  Can I call you?

Yes.  Schedule a consultation with me by clicking on the link below or leave me a message at 813-839-5752 and I will call you back within two business days to discuss your options.
